Dan’s Boogie sees Dan Bejar weaving introspective lyricism, lounge-infused swagger, and smouldering moodscapes into a singular sonic experience. The album explores themes of contradiction, espionage, and transformation, with Bejar describing a "boogie" as both a hustle and a dance with the world.

Written during a period of creative recalibration, Dan’s Boogie moves between piano-driven ballads, groove-laden pop epics, and avant-garde textures, all shaped by Bejar’s inimitable wit and vision. Lead single "Bologna" features the commanding presence of Fiver’s Simone Schmidt, adding a haunting contrast to Bejar’s narrative. The eight-minute centrepiece "Cataract Time" ranks among Destroyer’s most ambitious compositions, blending melancholy with an oddly uplifting groove.
