Entity Neil Cowley Trio

After a joyful seven-year hiatus, the Neil Cowley Trio has reconvened to release their creatively charged seventh studio album, Entity.

Back in 2006, the Neil Cowley Trio burst onto the scene with a sound brimming with energy. Their muscular anthems, galloping grooves, and tender moments placed them at the forefront of the emerging "post-jazz" movement, leading to six highly acclaimed albums over the span of a decade. In 2016, Neil Cowley pressed pause to pursue a successful solo career focused on electronica. Now, after years of solitary music-making, Cowley returns to celebrate the joy, comfort, and profound rewards of human connection in the digital age.

Rejoining Cowley are his long-time musical collaborators, bassist Rex Horan and drummer Evan Jenkins—three friends united and giving their all to one another.

Known for his brilliant compositions and dazzling piano work, Cowley’s trio flame still burns bright. Entity marks a triumphant return, cementing the Neil Cowley Trio’s signature sound with its head-nodding, wonky grooves, killer melodies, and emotionally charged pieces infused with a delicate, glass-like fragility. The album is a mature, sophisticated work full of impassioned music, hooks aplenty, and a heartfelt ode to friendship.
