Originally envisioned by Andy Gill as a 40th-anniversary tribute to Gang of Four’s Entertainment!, The Problem of Leisure evolved into a global collaborative project spanning seven countries and four continents. Following Gill’s passing in 2020, his widow Catherine Mayer curated the completion of the album, bringing together a diverse lineup of artists influenced by Gang of Four’s sound and legacy.

Featuring 20 tracks personally chosen by each contributing artist, this double album pays homage to one of post-punk’s most revolutionary bands. The artwork by Damien Hirst, a longtime Gang of Four fan, complements the album’s bold reimagining of classic songs spanning their 40+ year career.
