Description
Following Wilco’s acclaimed 2023 album Cousin, the band revisits unfinished material from those sessions to craft Hot Sun Cool Shroud. Collaborating once again with engineering mixer Tom Schick, Wilco has created six tracks that expand on the sound of Cousin.
According to Jeff Tweedy, these new songs evoke “a summertime-after-dark kind of feeling.” He describes the experience as starting off “pretty hot,” capturing the heat of the day, with some agitated and uncomfortable instrumentals, before concluding with a refreshing cooling breeze.
