“You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile…”

Next up in our Music Film Night series: Stop Making Sense – the legendary Talking Heads concert film that redefined what live music on screen could be.

Directed by Jonathan Demme and filmed over three nights at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in 1983, Stop Making Sense isn’t just a gig. It’s a full-body, joyful, and slightly surreal experience that builds from David Byrne walking onstage with a boombox to a full-blown art-pop spectacle.

The suits are big. The moves are bold. The music is iconic. From Psycho Killer to Once in a Lifetime, it’s a setlist that still sounds like the future – and a performance that somehow feels intimate, absurd and euphoric all at once.

Whether you’ve seen it a dozen times or never quite ‘got’ Talking Heads, this is a film best experienced with other people – on a big screen, with a drink in hand, and the volume way up.

So come join us for a night of rhythm, weirdness, and pure musical energy.

Friday 20 June
