City Lights THE WAEVE

Graham Coxon (Blur) and Rose Elinor Dougall return with the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed self-titled debut, which reached the Top 30 of the UK Official Charts. Produced by James Ford (Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys), City Lights showcases both artists not only on vocal duties but also playing a range of instruments, including saxophone, keyboards, and drums.

The WAEVE have cemented themselves as a songwriting duo to watch. With City Lights, they push the boundaries of their creative collaboration even further, using the album to explore the evolution of their relationship and their experiences of parenthood.

The album is presented in a beautiful gatefold sleeve, designed by Matt de Jong (Blur, Arlo Parks). Its title track, released in May, earned a spot on the BBC Radio 6 Music playlist and received coverage from outlets such as NME, DIY, Stereogum, and Under The Radar. At the time of release, the band were supporting Elbow on their UK arena tour and played their own sold-out headline show at London’s Hoxton Hall.

This summer, The WAEVE continue to perform at major events, sharing the stage with Noel Gallagher and The Breeders, and playing at Green Man Festival. They’ll also headline Village Underground on October 29th, with a full album tour scheduled for the spring.
