Recorded at Chem19 studios in Scotland, Mogwai’s eleventh album, The Bad Fire, brings a visceral intensity, shaped by American Grammy-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, John Grant). Named after a Scottish colloquialism for Hell, the album dives into the band’s reflections on challenging personal moments that emerged after their chart-topping As The Love Continues. Each vinyl edition comes in a beautifully crafted gatefold sleeve, complete with an MP3 download code and unique etching. The box set also includes an exclusive photo booklet featuring images captured by Paul Savage (Belle & Sebastian, Arab Strap), producer and Chem19 owner, documenting the band’s immersive recording sessions.
