A dreamlike folktronica record about motherhood, resilience and finding your way through change.
Caoilfhionn Rose’s completely immersive fourth album – and her first for Lost Map – is a powerful statement about new motherhood, strength, collaboration and the importance of placing trust in others. A softly unravelling collection grown from dreamy improvisations and driving, beat-led folktronica, Draw Out Your World follows her contribution to The Durutti Column’s critically acclaimed 2026 album Renascent.
Raised in Manchester, Caoilfhionn developed a deep, almost spiritual appreciation of music in all its diversity. Drawing inspiration from nature, dreams and personal experience, she creates songs that feel intimate yet universal. Music has played a profound role through periods of serious illness, helping to draw her back towards creativity. Open-mic performances around Manchester led to a long-running collaboration with The Durutti Column, while an early café show caught the attention of Gondwana Records founder Matthew Halsall. Her debut Awaken arrived in 2018, followed by Truly in 2021 and Constellation in 2024.
The ideas behind this fourth album accumulated over several years, but the record truly began to take shape during a period of profound personal change. A 2025 trip to Marrakesh with her husband and long-time collaborator Rich Williams reinvigorated their approach, while several of the newest songs were written during Caoilfhionn’s pregnancy with her first child. Loops and fragments were gradually opened up to a wider circle of players, allowing the compositions to be reshaped live in the studio.
That blend of intuition, patience and collective improvisation runs through the album. Four tracks emerged from two spontaneous days in Copenhagen with Danish electronic-jazz duo Svaneborg Kardyb; older pieces were revisited with keyboardist John Ellis of The Cinematic Orchestra. Lullaby-like opener “Reflecting The Light” pairs a miniature hand-drum loop with Awen Blandford’s swooping cello, while “Grow” finds renewed purpose through Ellis’s rolling Fender Rhodes. The title track floats between dreams and reality with shades of Judee Sill and Linda Perhacs.
Elsewhere, “Hidden Wars” sets spiralling thoughts against a fiercely snaking groove inspired by Portishead and The Smile. “Just To Be Alive” leans into swirling electronics, before “To A Feeling” breaks into a wild, raw jazz jam crowned by Eleanor Colee’s saxophone. “As I Find Myself Again” brings the record to a calm but deliberately unsettled close.
This limited pink marble vinyl edition includes a printed insert and signed postcard.

How long will my order take?
Many of the records we sell are sourced to order from our trusted network of UK distributors, allowing us to offer thousands more titles than we could ever stock in-store. Please allow up to 7 working days for dispatch.
If you've pre-ordered a record, we'll always aim to dispatch it in time for release day so it arrives on, or as close to, the official release date as possible.
Why does dispatch take a little longer?
We're an independent record shop, not a warehouse. Rather than filling shelves with thousands of records that may never sell, we carefully source many titles once you place your order.
It means a wider catalogue, less waste and more opportunities to discover great music.
How are records packaged?
