Thirty-five years on, Levelling The Land returns with a brand-new mix by original producer Al Scott.
Released in 1991, Levelling The Land became the record that turned Levellers from cult favourites into one of Britain’s defining alternative bands. Built around songs including “One Way”, “15 Years”, “Far From Home”, “The Game”, “Liberty Song” and “Battle of the Beanfield”, it captured the band’s mix of folk, punk energy and political urgency at exactly the right moment.
For this 35th Anniversary Edition, Al Scott has revisited the original material and delivered a new mix designed to open up the stereo image while retaining the raw drive of the performances. It is a chance to hear one of the band’s most important records with fresh clarity rather than simply another straight reissue.
This vinyl edition is pressed on 140g black vinyl and features the newly mixed original album.

How long will my order take?
Many of the records we sell are sourced to order from our trusted network of UK distributors, allowing us to offer thousands more titles than we could ever stock in-store. Please allow up to 7 working days for dispatch.
If you've pre-ordered a record, we'll always aim to dispatch it in time for release day so it arrives on, or as close to, the official release date as possible.
Why does dispatch take a little longer?
We're an independent record shop, not a warehouse. Rather than filling shelves with thousands of records that may never sell, we carefully source many titles once you place your order.
It means a wider catalogue, less waste and more opportunities to discover great music.
How are records packaged?
Every record is packed using purpose-made vinyl mailers with protective packaging to help ensure it arrives safely.
Whenever we can, we'll also include a few 12 Bar stickers, our latest zine and other little extras to make opening your order feel just as special as playing the record.
Can I return my order?
If your order arrives damaged or isn't quite right, please get in touch and we'll make it right.
