Nubya Garcia’s "SOURCE ⧺ WE MOVE" reinvents her critically acclaimed debut album "SOURCE" through an innovative blend of jazz and beat-driven electronic elements. This reworked album features exciting collaborations with artists like Dengue Dengue Dengue, Georgia Anne Muldrow, DJ Harrison, and Moses Boyd, retaining the original's inspiring musicianship while pushing into new sonic territories.
Garcia’s debut album "SOURCE," released in August 2020, earned a Mercury Music Prize nomination and showcased her ability to blend jazz with various influences. "SOURCE ⧺ WE MOVE" builds on this foundation, with reimagined tracks that emphasize rhythm and electronic textures, providing a fresh perspective on Garcia's work. The collaborations infuse each track with unique flavors, creating a dynamic listening experience that bridges traditional jazz with contemporary beats.
Garcia’s band, featuring Joe Armon-Jones on keys, Daniel Casimir on double bass, and Sam Jones on drums, recently made their debut at the BBC Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall, joined by special guest Sheila Maurice Grey on trumpet. This performance highlighted the ensemble’s cohesive chemistry and musical prowess, further cementing Garcia’s reputation as a leading figure in modern jazz.
After a hiatus, Garcia is back on the live circuit, with performances throughout the summer and a headline UK tour scheduled from 31st October to 8th November. Fans can also catch her monthly DJ residency on NTS Radio, where she continues to explore and share her musical influences.

How long will my order take?
Many of the records we sell are sourced to order from our trusted network of UK distributors, allowing us to offer thousands more titles than we could ever stock in-store. Please allow up to 7 working days for dispatch.
If you've pre-ordered a record, we'll always aim to dispatch it in time for release day so it arrives on, or as close to, the official release date as possible.
Why does dispatch take a little longer?
We're an independent record shop, not a warehouse. Rather than filling shelves with thousands of records that may never sell, we carefully source many titles once you place your order.
It means a wider catalogue, less waste and more opportunities to discover great music.
How are records packaged?
Every record is packed using purpose-made vinyl mailers with protective packaging to help ensure it arrives safely.
Whenever we can, we'll also include a few 12 Bar stickers, our latest zine and other little extras to make opening your order feel just as special as playing the record.
Can I return my order?
If your order arrives damaged or isn't quite right, please get in touch and we'll make it right.
